Yana - Malaysia Description
Malaysia, which is separated by the serene South Pacific Sea in to two regions, is represented by the awe-inspiring Yana. Yana is dressed in a traditional Sabah costume, Sabah being a state located in the northern portion of the island of Borneo. Her costume reflects the countless hours of skillfull handwork with the "linangkit" embroidery and creative application of the hundreds of multicolor beads, jewels and metal accents on her headdress. The expertise in the design and decoration to each costume illuminates a sense of beauty and uniqueness to this doll.
Over 360 beads and metal bead accents are used in the creation of each headpiece. The costume includes almost 500 beads and jewels that adron the belt, shoes and collar.
Yana has black hair and brown eyes.
