Measuring 8.5 inches tall, R. John Wright's Policeman Brownie is made from the finest all-wool felt. Jointed at his neck and shoulders, Policeman Brownie features a heavy wire inside his legs to enable him to be self-standing. He has delicate, hand-painted features, incredibly tiny sculptural hands and a hand-knotted mohair wig. Remaining faithful to Palmer Cox's illustrations, R. John Wright has dressed this Brownie in a tailored felt policeman's uniform consisting of an overcoat with braid trim and tiny custom-made brass buttons along with matching trousers. He proudly wears a badge on his chest and a molded helmet with a gilt insignia crown. Cobbled leather shoes and a hand-carved billy club complete his period costume.
