The Hazel Nut Fairy Description
Hazel-Nut is a Flower Fairy of Autumn. Constructed of the finest all wool felt, she will stand 10 inches tall and will be fully jointed at her shoulders, hips and neck. The Hazel-Nut Fairy will feature a sculptural molded toddler body and limbs. Her graceful hands will be sewn with individual fingers. Hazel-Nut will have delicately hand-painted features and a meticulously hand-knotted wig of the finest imported mohair. Her magnificent fairy wings will be sewn, molded and hand-painted from fine silk organza for a shimmering, iridescent effect.
The Hazel-Nut Fairy will be designed and costumed according to the original Cicely Mary Barker illustrations. She will be dressed in a sleeveless shift of softly hand colored organdy and a felt cap on her head. The Autumn Flower Fairy comes holding a branch of detailed, realistic hazelnuts and red-tinged leaves made of molded, hand-painted felt.
