Steiff Monty Teddy Bear EAN 035739 is different than ever before. Monty's color is one that has never been done in the long history of Steiff. His mohair is a hand-dyed batik, deep-purple short pile with a light purple cotton backing. As a nice and different touch, a very subtle but visible coat of gold airbrushing was added. A special bear like this needs a special bell. Monty has a hand-cast bronze Blossom Bell on a gold cord. This type of bell was has been used for special ceremonies in India. Monty's nose and claws are hand-stitched with matching embroidery thread and his paw and foot pads are sewn from custom-made wool felt. Shake him softly and you will hear his Teddy bear voice in perfect harmony with the ringing of his sweet bell. Monty is a Steiff 2012 Worldwide Limited Edition.
