Katherine Howard Description
Katherine Howard, fifth wife of Henry XVIII, whom he often called his -inchrose without a thorn-inch was the last of his wives to be beheaded. How she came to such a pass is a long story and certainly not a pretty tale for the beautiful queen who is shown in the 2011 collection as a 10-inch fully-articulated Cissette who has blue eyes and an abundance of side-parted, gay gold curls that are styled in a partial up-do. She is dressed in an iridescent blue and beige gown that is rich with a blue, beige and gold metallic thread embroidery detail on the bodice front. The under-skirt of the floor length gown is accented with metallic silver French knots. Strands of gold seed beads define her waist and add an overall sense of brilliance to the gown. An off-white taffeta petticoat, white thigh-high stockings, white panties and blue satin pumps completes the outfit for lovely Katherine Howard who also wears a pear and gold passementerie necklace and a gold crown rich with clear crystals and white pearls on her queenly head.
