Steiff Girl Scout Centenary Bear EAN 681813 Description
On March 12, 1912, Juliette Daisy Gordon Low assembled 18 girls from Savannah, Georgia, for a local Girl Scout meeting. She believed that all girls should be given the opportunity to develop physically, mentally and spiritually outside the home. Within a few years, Daisy's dream for a girl-centered organization was realized. Today, Girl Scouts of the USA has a membership of over 3.2 million girls and adults. Plus, more than 50 million women in the U.S. today are Girl Scout alumnae. The Steiff Girl Scouts Centenary Bear is a charming commemoration of a century of growth of this fine organization. This golden-blond colored mohair bear is five-way jointed and measures 13 inches tall. She proudly wears a contemporary Girl Scout uniform complete with tiny achievement badges on her sash. It's a wonderful gift for the Girl Scout in your life and a true treasure if you were a Girl Scout yourself. A 2012 North American white tag limited edition.
Important Note: Bear in photo is a prototype. Sash with badges will vary a little..
