From Cicely Mary Barker's book Flower Fairies of the Summer - The lovely little Rose Fairy will be constructed of the finest all wool felt. Standing 10 inches tall, she will be fully jointed at her shoulders, hips and neck. She will feature a sculptural molded felt body with an internal wood mechanism to connect her limbs and head. Her ball and socket jointing system with internal wood mechanism will allow for graceful and expressive poseability. The Rose Fairy will have delicately hand-painted features and a wig of the finest imported mohair. Her hands will be sewn with individual fingers and her lovely fairy wings sewn and molded from fine silk organza then painted by hand.
The Rose Fairy will be created faithfully to the original illustration by Cicely Mary Barker wearing a sleeveless shift of hand-colored bonded silk and organdy with a rose petal edge. This Summer Flower Fairy will stand upon a solid wood felt-covered base holding a detailed, realistic rose blossom made completely out of felt and silk fabrics.
