Annalee Mobilitee Dolls, Inc.® has become one of the country's premier makers of collectible dolls. Creator Annalee Thorndike made her first doll as a young girl in 1934, and turned her hobby into a commercial enterprise in the early 1950's. She would begin by selecting a theme, and then she would create a collection of dolls surrounding that theme.  Today she is known for her poseable dolls featuring a variety of mice, bears, rabbits, and other stuffed animals, as well as human figures, with collections reflecting everyday events and occupations, as well as seasonal events (Christmas, Valentine's Day, Irish Celebration, Spring, Halloween, and Harvest Days).
