CJ Walker Description
C.J. Walker was known in Harlem as Madame Walker. She was a powerhouse business woman who made millions selling her own line of cosmetics in a time when few women, much less black women, had careers in business. She is a 10-inch bent-knee African American Cissette and wears her black hair done up in a bun with soft side curls. Sheメs fashionably dressed in a lavender gabardine suit with a wide lavender satin collar, and pencil skirt. The jacket is finished with lavender satin trim and is worn over an ivory georgette blouse with a high neck ruffle. The skirt features a zip in the back. She wears a wide-brimmed, lavender gabardine hat trimmed with green and black feathers. Nude pantyhose, black ankle strap high heels, gold stud earrings, a green and gold bead double necklace and long, gold bead wrap necklace completes C.J. Walkerメs ensemble. Includes an illustrated design card.
