Wee Forest Folk are a collection of fanciful mouse miniatures handcrafted in the USA. Annette Petersen crafted her first little critter 37 years ago. Since then, her children, Willy and Donna, have learned the ways of the mice and have created their own. Each piece is a casting of an original sculpted by either Annette, Willy, or Donna.
Annette's first mice were made of bread dough, which didn't last very long nibbled by the real thing, of course). Now the Petersen's use much more sophisticated methods of molding, which adds strength and durability to each piece.
Meticulous painting brings each sculpture to life. Painted by talented artists carefully selected for their delicate hand skills, each piece reflects enormous amounts of time and patience. All of the Wee Forest Folk are made entirely in Carlisle, Massachusetts.
