The
L.L. Knickerbocker Co., Inc. was a long-time leader
in dolls and bears. Knickerbocker marketed its own bears under
the Knickerbocker Toy Company name, as well as
Annette Funicello Collectible Bears, Richard Simmons'
Collection of the Masters Dolls,
Marie Osmond Fine Porcelain Collector Dolls,
and several other collections. In late 2001, Knickerbocker
was bought out by Marie Osmond and her husband, Brian, who
changed the name of the company to Marian.
Marian now produces an expanded Marie Osmond collection, and
will launch into other fields. Annette Funicello and Richard
Simmons have moved to Papel Giftware and Goebel International,
respectively.
Toni's
Collectibles still
has some inventory of Annette Funicello and Richard Simmons
items that were originally marketed by Knickerbocker, as well
as a number of Knickerbocker Toy Company bears. And, of course,
Toni has a wide selection of the current Marie Osmond items
produced under the Marian name.
