Heidi Plusczok has been creating beautiful, award-winning dolls for more than 25 years. The theme of Heidi's 2008 Collection is the butterfly. Heidi chose the butterfly because it represents change and transformation, and the new collection reflects the symbolism of the light and joyful butterfly. Accordingly, the colors of clothing are a bit brighter than in past years, and there is more happiness and playfulness in this year's little butterfly children.
One doll in this year's collection--Paula--is particularly special because it is based on Heidi's granddaughter. Heidi, the real Paula, and the Paula doll are pictured above. Heidi's granddaughter often helps her pack the dolls after school, so if you order a Paula doll, it's quite possible it may have been packed by the real Paula.
