Annalee
introduced Thimbles
in 2003. Thimbles have intricately sculpted hands and elf-like
boots cast in durable resin. They have a unique, molded head,
designed to resemble stitched fabric. A Thimbles head is virtually
indistinguishable from stuffed cloth, but allows for crisp
facial details.
Thimbles bend, thanks to the Annalee wire frame technology.
Their poseability offers a variety of decorating options.
Quality
clothing is a hallmark of all the Thimbles, with stitched
details and embroidery found only on dolls costing much more.
In the
original edition, each Thimble was safely packaged in its
very own wooden case (pictured above) with slide-out front
panel. The legend of the thimbles is printed on the back panel,
and the front is decorated with hand drawn artwork. Individual
story cards are included in the packaging. All Thimbles come
with a Key, allowing them to unlock the door between their
world and yours. Later edition Thimbles come with an attractive
multi-colored cardboard box in place of the wooden case.
The entire
Thimbles line has been retired by Annalee. We now have only
a very small number of Thimbles remaining in stock.
