Amaro - Bolivia Description
As a young girl from Bolivia, Amaro wears a T-shaped faux deer skin poncho, edged in row after row of multi colored beads and wool braiding. Layers of gray faux-leather form a breech-cloth that she wears beneath a brown woolen sweater. Cords of seashells and wooden beads hold her braids in place and her neck is draped with an amulet made from an abalone shell and wooden beads. Multiple rows of beads circle the tops of her boots and tiny spiral seashells dangle from their braid. Tubular beads and two different varieties of seashells are combined in this wide cummerbund/belt.
